Marvin Tax Credit Program

A Qualified Manufacturer in the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit program must meet certain requirements and enter into a written agreement with the IRS. After careful consideration, Marvin has chosen not to participate this year, and will not be issuing a Qualified Manufacturer Identification Number (QPIN) for the program in 2025.

Several factors contributed to our decision:

  • In 2023, the Tax Credit program requirements for windows, skylights, and doors transitioned to their respective ENERGY STAR programs
  • New regulations in 2025 introduced stricter reporting and QPIN requirements, with potential fines associated
  • The new tax credit is currently only funded for one year (2025) and does not extend to 2032 as previously approved
  • The ENERGY STAR program is facing funding challenges and could eventually be discontinued

It may be possible for customers to receive a rebate via the ENERGY STAR Rebate Finder. Because each state and provider are different, it is difficult to guarantee a rebate; however, it may be worth recommending customers explore the website.

Regardless of this decision, it’s important to acknowledge that Marvin remains an ENERGY STAR partner, and our products continue to meet ENERGY STAR certifications.

Please contact your Marvin representative if you have any questions. Thank you.
