Join Fleetwood Windows & Doors at Modernism Week – October 2025 for an exclusive tour of the Sackley Chase Sensation. The home, a 1976 Stan Sackley and Steve Chase collaboration, was thoughtfully restored by Roger Stoker and Michael Ostrow of Grace Home Furnishings.
Once defined by single-pane bronze glass, the home now features Fleetwood’s aluminum systems, engineered to preserve its original aesthetics while elevating performance for desert living.
For the current homeowners, it was essential that any renovation stay true to the original designs of architect Stan Sackley and designer Steve Chase. They wanted the home to remain a stellar example of late midcentury modern’s collision with brutalism.
“The goal wasn’t to create a new look,” said owner Roger Stoker. “The goal was to keep the architecture, but with double-pane glass that’s energy efficient and modern. Fleetwood really understood what we were going after.”
