At Designer Window Supply, the safety and satisfaction of our customers are our highest priorities. We are sharing an important safety notice from our vendor, Andersen Windows & Doors, regarding a voluntary recall of Window Opening Control Devices (sold as kits or factory-installed) on Andersen 100 Series casement windows manufactured prior to November 19, 2025.
Andersen has decided to conduct a voluntary recall in coordination with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Internal testing discovered that these devices could potentially break or detach upon impact. If the device fails, the window could open further than intended, posing a potential fall hazard. This is a proactive measure, no injuries or falls have been reported.
Andersen is offering a free on-site repair to reinforce the devices. An authorized technician will visit your home or building to add a reinforcement screw to the device. This repair meets all safety standards for window opening control devices. The window does not need to be removed to complete the fix.
